Cervino Cinemountain Festival
Cervino CineMountain is the international mountain film festival that enlivens Italy’s Aosta Valley every summer, at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn. At 2,000 meters above sea level, it is the highest film festival in the world. But its true value lies in its ability to portray the mountains as a space of challenge and contemplation, adventure and introspection, nature and culture.
Since 1998, the festival has explored the many dimensions of the mountain universe: environment, climate, sports, mountaineering, history, and identity.
A dialogue between images and altitude that highlights the deep bond between humans and the highlands.
At the heart of the event is the Competition Festival, which gathers the best of international mountain cinema. The winning films from the Grand Prix of the IAMF (International Alliance for Mountain Film) network face off in a one-of-a-kind showcase now recognized as the “Oscar of the Oscars” in mountain cinema.
Alongside the main competition, numerous awards are presented, including the prestigious prize from the CAI – Italian Alpine Club – for the best mountaineering film.
Montura supports and showcases films that delve into the essence of mountain life through compelling stories, personal journeys, and authentic voices. At the 2026 edition of the Cervino Film Festival, several films supported by Montura will be featured.
