Natural park trail

The new route covers 430 kilometres and links Rome with L'Aquila via a total of seven protected nature reserves; it will be presented on 28 April. The coming months will see the publication of a new walking guide, the first in a new series entitled “Great Walks of Italy”, and four 1:35,000 scale maps.
Walk in the greenest heart of central Italy on ancient tracks through areas rich in history and spirituality and those affected by earthquake. And walk to contribute to the development and real sustainability of the Italian mountains. The Cammino project has been presented in Trento in 28 April, and this book signals Montura's debut in the world of maps for walkers.

First hiking map of the Natural Park Trail

The Natural Park Trail (Cammino Naturale dei Parchi) is a 430-km-long route along the Apennine mountain chain in central Italy, leading from Rome to L'Aquila, through seven Protected Natural Areas. The trail has been fully described in the guidebook Guida al Trekking - Cammino Naturale dei Parchi and the first large-scale (1:35,000) hiking map of the third week of the trail is now available. This includes the six daily stages that lead from Corvaro to Accumoli, crossing the province of Rieti from south to north, for a total of more than 100 km of walking and altitudes that reach 1888 m on Monte Nuria, the highest point of the entire Natural Park Trail.
